Why isn’t my reference number accepted?

Please check the reference on you notice and try again (please ensure that you are selecting the correct prefix). If you continue to experience problems, it could be that your Notice/Report is yet to be submitted, please try again later or email us on gwrprosecutions@gwr.com..

If your case is due in court today, it is no longer possible to pay online. If you case has not yet been heard, then you may contact GWR’s Prosecutions Department who may be able to help.

Why was my card declined? Why was my transaction not approved?

There could be an issue with your bank – you should contact them for more information.

Will I get a receipt?

Once you have made your payment and it is successful, you will see a confirmation page which will provide you with a reference number for the transaction. You will also have the option to print or email a receipt letter for your records.

Will there be a charge?

No, Great Western Railway will not charge you any card handling fee to make an online payment.

How are my details protected and kept secure?
